Anthony “Tony” Apostolaros, 62, of New Jersey and Maryland, passed peacefully April 1st at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his devoted, loving and caring wife of 33 years, Maria Apostolaros.
Born in Limnos, Greece, son of Artemis Apostolaros and the late Peter Apostolaros, Tony proudly immigrated to the United States in 1966. He worked hard and graduated from Trenton Central High School with a full scholarship to play soccer for Wilkes University, where he served as the Men’s Soccer Team Captain and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
Tony was a hard-worker and a dedicated business owner. He was a self-employed wholesale food and produce distributor for restaurants in New Jersey. Before his retirement, he was employed by Lancaster Foods in Maryland.

Tony was an avid gourmet cook and loved spending summers barbequing for his family and friends. Cooking delicious meals brought him the greatest joy. He loved spending his time outdoors, landscaping, and tending to his garden, especially caring for his tomatoes. Tony spent much of his time writing poetry for pleasure and for others. He was a huge sports fanatic and particularly enjoyed watching soccer and football. Tony was a sports car collector and enjoyed nothing more than cruising around in his Corvettes. He also enjoyed spending his free time at the gym and was a huge health and fitness enthusiast.
Tony was the most welcoming, friendly, caring, generous and hardworking family man. Tony's greatest passion was his family; he adored his wife and lived for his children and grandchildren. It brought him so much joy to make others smile and laugh."Another day to miss you; there's just too many of those. We are all blue for not having you to hold along the way. You are wonderful and unique. You are true to your heart in your own mellow ways. Your love has touched our hearts in so many ways. Who loves you baby? I do!"-
